Chayote Chutney


2 cups fine diced chayote 2 tbsp of Apple cider vinegar 1 inch piece of peeled ginger root 1 tbsp WF Apple Butter or Caramel Sauce 1/4 cup of Ideal Protein Maple Syrup 1/8 tsp cinnamon 1/8 tsp white pepper 1/8 tsp cardamom 1/8 tsp chilli 1/8 tsp nutmeg

1/16 red pepper flakes 

Combine all ingredients. Cook over low heat stirring often for 45 - 1 hour, you may need to add small amounts during cooking time if chayote starts to stick to the pan. Remove from heat and remove ginger, serve hot or cold .
