I've been managing my weight since my early twenties. Unfortunately I was never one of those people that got to eat and drink everything! Early in my career I worked 6-7 days per week with 12 hour days starting my first business. My reward was a great meal. After 4 years of great meals, glasses of wine, plenty of desserts and no exercise. I had gained 65 pounds. It happened so fast and yet little by little. It was only about a pound and half a month and pretty soon I was close to 200 pounds.
The first "diet" I went on was Medi-fast (Opti-fast, which is now Optavia) at 25 years old. I lost 25 pounds but my metabolism had slowed to down to almost nothing and I had a very difficult time maintaining my weight. Next I tried Weight Watchers, then Nutri Systems, then Jenny Craig, the cabbage soup diet, etc. but couldn't seem to lose much or keep the weight off. In my mid-thirties, I found out about ketosis/fat burning science and the pounds starting coming off! That's when I realized that my body needs a low carb, zero processed foods, healthy fats and lean proteins. I started to understand "insulin sensitivity".
MY PERSONAL PROCESS
In my thirties and early forties I had two children and stuck to the low carb and high protein protocol. It was tough taking the baby weight off but once it was gone I could maintain until I hit my late forties. It became harder and I started using a cleanse product to keep off the pounds, but I was still struggling with 5 to 7 pounds that I just couldn't seem to get rid of. Soon I learned how bad all those cleanses were for my metabolism! It kept getting slower and slower!
In 2011, I watched more than 20 people that I knew use the this program and saw their success, high energy and the healthy way they looked when they finished the plan. But most of all, they kept their weight off! In April 2012, I finally tried it myself. I lost 13 pounds in 3 weeks and have been maintaining ever since!
I believed so much in the program I opened Reformation Body Solutions and started this lifestyle program. Our clinic grew quickly and we really love coaching all of our clients! It's great to see the quick results and the great things our clients have to say about their renewed health and lifestyle changes!
