Artisan Bread


1 ounce milk

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 pkg IP plain pancake

1 pkg IP potato puree

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp olive oil

In a small bowl mix 1 ounce of milk and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice together to make sour milk. Add to the sour milk one beaten egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. In another bowl add one package of IP plain pancake, one package of IP potato purée and 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder. Mix well. Combine wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour into a parchment lined loaf pan and bake at 375° for 20 minutes. You may sprinkle fresh herbs or dried herbs (such as Rosemary) on top before you bake. Cool and brush with 1/2 tsp of olive oil. Add sprinkle of sea salt and fresh garlic. This bread is perfect to dredge with additional olive oil and IP balsamic vinegar.
